The conference was attended by over 100 scientists and specialists from Ukraine, Poland, Belarus, the Russian Federation, Canada, including specialists and graduate students of academic, industry, research and design organizations, manufacturing enterprises and commercial structures, as well as teachers of higher educational institutions.
The conference presented 33 papers, which covered a wide range of theoretical and applied problems and issues in all areas of work of the amber industry not only in Ukraine but also in partially adjacent territories of Poland, Belarus, and Russia. The main ones included geological study, prospects for prospecting and estimation of amber, amber development in Ukraine and the world, artworks, archeological finds, museum aspect of amber study; legislation on the production and use of amber; its properties, classification and more.
Among the decisions of the conference were to accept the Geologist of Ukraine Magazine, a publication of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists as an official media partner of the project "Ukrainian Amber World".
