The article discusses the main challenges facing the development of the geological sector in Ukraine, including depletion of most deposits, chronic underfunding of geological exploration, lack of progressive structural shifts towards high-tech work, dynamic contraction of geological industrial activity and loss of highly qualified personnel, as well as measures that will allow Ukraine to restore its mineral resource base, increase the investment attractiveness of the geological sector and ensure the comprehensive education and development of highly qualified personnel.
