L.F. Gafych handed out awards of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists to the members of the organizing committee A. L. Perchuk, V. N. Kadurin, and A. V. Chepizhko, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Geography of the Mechnikov Odesa National University, Professor E.A. Cherkez.
A large and interesting School-2009 program included an outgoing session in Karolino-Bugaz (Odesa region). The School-2009 program featured lectures on both classical geology and modern geological science.
