January 3, 2020 at the M.P. Semenenko Institute of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Ore Formation the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine hosted a solemn meeting of the Academic Council on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Volodymyr Pavlyshyn - Ukrainian scientist-mineralogist, doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences, professor, honored worker of science and technology of Ukraine (2006), laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine and technician (2013), specialist in regional, genetic and applied mineralogy, president (1991 to 2001) and honorary president (2006) of the Ukrainian Mineralogical Society.
