On April 15 - 18, Yalta hosted the international conference "Ti - 2007 in the CIS", organized by the Interstate Association Titan, which brings together enterprises, research and design institutions from the CIS countries in the field of research, mining and processing of titanium raw materials. The representatives of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists were among the participants.

On 3-4 October 2006, the Institute of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Ore Formation of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine hosted the VII Congress of the Ukrainian Mineralogical Society. The congress was held partly at the expense of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "Ukrainian Association of Geologists".

In 2004, the work of the summer youth geological expedition in the native Rivne region was restored. Children repeatedly participated in the skills competitions of young geologists in Kharkiv, Moscow, St. Petersburg and are sincerely grateful to the Chairman of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists P.A. Zagorodniuk for sponsorship, which made such trips possible.

For the first time ever, Ukraine hosted the V International Symposium initiated by the European Association for the Conservation of the Geological Heritage (PROGEO). The Ukrainian Association of Geologists was among the organizers of the event, which took place in Kyiv and Kamianets-Podilskyi on 4-8 September 2006.

The annual 68th conference of the European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers in the field of Earth Sciences (EAGE) took place in the capital of Austria on 12 - 15 June 2006. This time the conference and the industrial exhibition were organized in conjunction with the EUROPEC conference, which is being held by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). The Ukrainian Association of Geologists was an active participant in the conference!
