The IAH World Groundwater Congress by the Swiss Society of Hydrogeology (SSH) and the Centre for Hydrogeology and Geothermics of the University of Neuchâtel (CHYN), again returns to Europe after previous editions in Wuhan and Cape Town

The congress will gather hydrogeology experts, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to discuss the theme "Interacting Groundwater" aimed to explore the complex interactions of groundwater with rivers, lakes, ecosystems, and the cryosphere, and address sustainable management strategies within the water-food-energy-ecosystems nexus. It will also explore how groundwater responds to extreme events.

The event aims to foster collaboration between countries, sectors, and stakeholders to address these challenges.

The congress program includes parallel sessions, plenary debates focusing on key challenges, side-events, short courses, and a dedicated SwissDay to discuss topics relevant to the local context.

The congress is known for its inclusive approach, welcoming participants from all continents. It offers opportunities for interaction and dialogue, with a special focus on young hydrogeologists
