"The Water Strategy of Ukraine until 2050" defines the fundamental principles of state policy in the field of water use and conservation, as well as the restoration of water resources. It aims to achieve mutual compatibility associated with their use, increase water security, and reduce water resource management risks to an acceptable level based on principles of sustainable integrated water resources management. The strategy outlines the process of harmonizing Ukraine's legislative framework in the water sector with EU requirements in the shortest term possible and aims to ensure equal access to quality and safe water, reduce water pollution, and prevent droughts and floods.
